Ton Hasenaar maakt werken in verschillende disciplines, o.a. kan hij van oude materialen iets kunstzinnigs te maken of fotograferen van abstractie in de natuur, maar zijn grote passie blijft het schilderen.

Zijn opleidingen heeft hij genoten in Amsterdam.

Hij vindt inspiratie in de natuur, gebeurtenissen, emoties van het moment en zijn verleden creëren hun eigen abstracte composities van kleuren en vormen. Ton Hasenaar streeft ernaar om dat effect in zijn schilderijen te bereiken door meerdere verflagen en verschillende materialen toe te voegen, waardoor kleurrijke, levendige schilderijen in een aparte stijl ontstaan.

De expressionistische schilderijen met vaak krachtige maar ook subtiele penseelstreken creëren een gevoel van beweging en diepte. Hoewel zijn kunst qua compositie aantrekkelijk is, komt er een gevoel van actie tot onderzoek en nadenken. Elk stuk is uniek, roept zijn eigen sfeer op door kleur en textuur, gevoel van diepte en titels.

Naast schilderkunst is fotografie een belangrijk onderdeel van zijn artistieke praktijk. Zowel in zijn schilderijen als in zijn fotografisch werk zoekt hij naar spanning, sfeer, energie en verwondering.

Gedurende zijn loopbaan nam Ton Hasenaar deel aan talrijke exposities in binnen- en buitenland.

Zijn werk werd onder meer geëxposeerd in Nederland, België, Duitsland, Portugal en India.

In Nederland waren zijn werken onder andere te zien tijdens exposities bij het Pulitzer Amsterdam en het World Trade Center Amsterdam, waar hij een solo-expositie realiseerde.

Zijn werk bevindt zich in particuliere collecties in binnen- en buitenland.

Biography

Ton Hasenaar works across various artistic disciplines. He enjoys transforming old materials into artistic creations and capturing abstract forms in nature through photography, but his greatest passion remains painting.

He received his artistic education in Amsterdam. Inspired by nature, life events, emotions of the moment, and personal memories, he creates abstract compositions of color and form. Ton Hasenaar strives to capture these impressions in his paintings by applying multiple layers of paint and incorporating different materials, resulting in vibrant, colorful artworks with a distinctive style.

His expressionist paintings, often characterized by both powerful and subtle brushstrokes, create a sense of movement and depth. While visually engaging in composition, his works also invite reflection, exploration, and contemplation. Each piece is unique, evoking its own atmosphere through color, texture, depth, and title.

In addition to painting, photography plays an important role in his artistic practice. In both his paintings and photographic work, he seeks tension, atmosphere, energy, and a sense of wonder.

Throughout his career, Ton Hasenaar has participated in numerous exhibitions both nationally and internationally. His work has been exhibited in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Portugal, and India.

In the Netherlands, his work has been shown at venues including the Pulitzer Amsterdam and the World Trade Center Amsterdam, where he held a solo exhibition.
